Pug Rescue of San Diego County is an all-volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing unwanted, neglected, abandoned and relinquished Pugs.  We will host our 21^st Annual Pug Party on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds’ Infield Pavilion from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Approximately 1500 people and 500 to 600 Pugs are expected to attend. This event is the largest gathering on the West Coast to celebrate the Pug breed and to celebrate Pugs in need.

In 2010, volunteers from Pug Rescue took in over 200 Pugs, a drastic 30% increase from last year. The economic recession and home foreclosures have forced many owners to give up their dogs, turning to the Pug Rescue for help. Additionally, nine out of 10 Pugs who enter Pug Rescue of San Diego County need some sort of medical attention in one way or another. Relinquished Pugs live in foster care until their forever home is found.

The Annual May Pug Party is our largest fundraiser of the year.  Funds raised from the fundraiser will help the rescue continue to provide medical intervention and comfort in foster care to the Pugs relinquished to Pug Rescue of San Diego County.

This event offers Pug-friendly services available throughout the day, such as Pet-icures, Pug massages, Blueberry Facials, and more.  A professional photographer will provide portraits, a feature many Pug parents look forward to year after year. Popular contests for Pugs and their parents will be held throughout the day such as costumed-themed competitions, the Wet T-Shirt Contest, the Cupcake Chomp, and the recognition of the Most Distinguished Senior Pug. There will also be a raffle of more than 20 beautiful baskets with gifts and unique items any recipient would love.

The annual event also boasts a shopping boutique with Pug-friendly vendors from throughout San Diego County and Southern California, and even as far as Colorado.  We would like to invite you to be a part of our May Pug Party this year by signing up as a vendor.  You are welcome to sell products and services at our event by completing the attached application.

If you are unable to attend the event as a vendor, we would like to ask for a donation that we could raffle off during the event.  Your donation would be on display during the event for all attendees to see.
