The Parkinson's Association of San Diego (PASD) provides support and education for more than 60,000 people affected by Parkinson's locally and beyond. Parkinson's is a neurodegenerative disorder that affects movement, as well as the sensory and non-motor systems. The good news is someone diagnosed today can look forward to many years of nearly normal activity by adopting a positive attitude, exercising regularly and following a physician's advice.
We invite you to explore our website to discover all the programming we offer, as well as the latest in research and the many ways you can be involved with our Association. Our goal is to keep you informed on the latest and greatest in Parkinson's information and provide you with tips and tricks to help make living with the condition easier.
PASD is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization offering workshops, symposia and support groups, among many other programs, to individuals with Parkinson's, family members, friends and interested community members. We do fundraising annually through events like our Spirit of Life Gala, held in the fall, and our Fighting Parkinson's Step-by-Step 5K Fun Run and Walk, held every Spring.
